California Scholarship Federation is a state-wide organization to recognize academic accomplishments, founded in 1921. It's purpose is to foster high standards of scholarship and service. CSF Life Members earn a gold seal on their graduation diploma and the privilege of wearing a gold cord and tassel during the graduation ceremony

Qualifying for membership is on a semester basis following a point system which requires A's and B's in most classes. To become a Lifetime Member, students must have qualified for four semesters during the last three years of high school, including one semester in the senior year.

CSF membership is not automatic. Students must qualify and complete an application. Applications are generally due within the first four weeks of the semester following.

Membership in the ninth grade is called Associate Membership and does not count for Life Membership.
