Congratulations!! One of our students from last year, Amy Alvarado, was randomly selected as one of the recipients of a $200 Education Award from Student Paths Spring 2008 issue!! Remember to fill out the Student Paths again this year when you receive them this month. You might just be the next winner!!

Attention PE Students: The PE sweat pants and large tees that were ordered have arrived. See Ms. Luther or Mrs. Schwamb in the girls' PE office.

Attention Students: Those who are interested in the medical field should come see Ms. Rubio to get nominated for the National Youth leadership Forum on Medicine. It is a 10-day program in one of these great cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, LA, Philadelphia, San Francisco or Washington D.C.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Fresno Area College Night 2008 will be on Wed, 09/10 at the Convention Center Exhibit Hall. It will be from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Representatives from UC, CSU, Private, Community and Vocational campuses will be present. Sign up in the Counseling Office and pick up a permission slip. Deadline will be Mon, 09/08 at 4:30 pm. For more information, see Mr. Mendoza.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in the area of Arts, UCLA will have an informational night for Central California on Fri, 09/12 at the Holiday Inn (Downtown) in Fresno from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Learn about the variety of the visual and performing arts major at UCLA. RSVP required. See Mr. Mendoza for more information.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: The 2008 National Christian College Fair will be in Fresno on Thurs, 09/25 from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm at the North Fresno Church. There is free admission and a financial aid workshop will be given. See Mr. Mendoza for more info.

CSF: Bring your lunch to Rm. M-3 for a meeting today, 09/08. We will elect officers, hand out applications and discuss fundraising.

FCA: Meeting today, 09/08 at lunch in the PE lecture room. See you then.

Academic Decathlon: Practices will be today, 09/08 at lunch and again in the evening from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and also on Thurs, 09/11 after school until 5:00 pm.

Entre Nous: Students who received invitations to Entre Nous in the mail have a meeting today, 09/08 at lunch in Rm. E-2 to discuss your upcoming initiation.

MESA: All members new and old, there is a mandatory meeting on Tues, 09/09 at 3:15 pm in Rm. 703. Please attend!

German Club: Important Homecoming planning meeting on Wed, 09/10 at lunch in Rm. 706 for all members.

No career news at this time.

Attention Boys Basketball Players: All players planning on trying out for the basketball team this year need to attend a meeting on Thurs, 09/11 during lunch in coach Minami's room B-1. The meeting will start promptly at 12:15 (assembly schedule that day). Also, remember to stop by Mr. Minami's room to pick up your fundraising coupon books. You only have a few more weeks to sell yours so stop by and do your part!
