| Through the journey here at Reedley High School, students will have to challenge themselves with four years of English classes. Students will start out with the basics from English 9P their 9th grade year, to 10P their 10th grade year, and then having the opportunity to choose the type of english they want to take or their 11th and 12th grade year. Students will be able to choose from American Literature, Film as Literature, Chicano/Latino Literature, Children's Literature, California Literature and authors, English Literature, Journalism, Speech, Creative Prose and Poetry, Forensics, and Yearbook. There are also more advanced English class for those students that want a challenge and are willing to go the extra mile. These classes are available for the student on their 11th and 12the grade year, and these classes are called English Language AP, since this is an advanced students taking it should be willing to do the summer work that will be assigned to them before the end of the year that the student is in at the time of choosing the class. All of these different english classes will give students a better understanding of reading, writing, and the composition of literature that will be helpfull to them as they persue a future and go onto college. These four years of English at Reedley High School is also a requirment for students to graduate. | ||||||||||
