Country Shoeboxes in the Library
Each year Mr. Hoeflinger's World History classes do an extensive project in which students work in groups of 2-3 to find out a lot of information about a country. Each group does research using a variety of library resources such as country reference books, atlases, almanacs, and country internet sites. They record the data on information sheets and then build a "shoebox float" that represents various aspects of their country.
