| This VROP cours trains students in the fundamental computer maintenance and repair and prepares students to take the A+Certification exam. Students will learn and develop entry-level skills utilizing classroom small/large groups interaction and lab training. The student will learn the workings of disk drives, computers, monitors, and printers, 2)operation of the test equipment, and 3)electronic fundamentals necessary to understand and services basic computer system. | This valley ROP course is designed to introduce students to the business world as it relates to agriculture, the worlds largest business. This course will introduce students to the many facets of the business world from economices to managment, marketing, sales, and leadership skills needed to understand the basic, fundamental aptitudes of the business industry. | This course is designed for the construction of farm equipment such as trailers, squeeze chutes, spray rings, and the repair of this equipment. Other areas of study are drill sharpening, rope work, tap and die, and pipe work. students will learn how to use wire feed welders and plasma cutters on stainless steel and alumium metals. Technical and service information taught includes the following: engine overhaul, carburetion and fuel injection service, electrical system service, and safety. | This valley ROP course is design to develop an awareness of the various law enforcements occupation. The emphasis is palced on the development of attitudes skills, and competenices related to the criminal justices system in the U.S. THis course introduces the students to the study of crime and the administration of justice in the U.S. Th focus will be on the realites of law enforcement and apprehension at the federal, state, and local levels, prosecution, courts,, and the disposition of people charge with the commission of crimes. A component of the class will be to explore careers in health care through job shodowing, tours and guest speakers. The medical terminolgy course prepares students for entry-level position into numerous occupation in health care and gives the student a fundamental understanding of the human body. | This approve department of health services pre-certification nursing assistant class includes classroom instruction and clinical hours in a long term care facility. The course of study is caring for the geriatric resident. A RN teaches and supervises the class. After successfully completing supervised study and hands on pratice, the student is eligible to take a california state exam for the certified nursing assistant license. | This valley ROP course introduces students to the U.S. forest service (USFS) and prepares them with basic firefighting and conservation enrty level skills, as well as preparing them for (4) industry certificates. Classroom instruction, demonstration, and hands on field application will be given in basic firefighting, standards for survival, engine and pump operation, backfiring methods and equipment use, chainsaw operation, map and compass use, air opperations, basic hand tool sharpening and use. Web Page Design: Learn the essentials for web page content, design and development. Learn the basics of Hypertext Markup Language formatting, tables, and frames in creation software on pc's. |
