Both Kauk and Marchese currently serve as clinical site instructors for the Athletic Training Curriculum Program at Fresno State University. This partnership allows FSU students to gain athletic training experience at Reedley High School as part of their field experience.
Kirby
Kauk received his Bachelor of Science in HPE / Sports Medicine
from Western Montana College in Dillon
(May '86). He went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Physical Education
from California State University - Fresno
(Dec. '90). At Reedley High School, Kauk teaches Sports Medicine and Human
Anatomy / Physiology classes in the science department. He holds a California
Professional Clear Secondary Teaching Credential in Physical Education
and Biology. He has also taught the Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries
at Reedley College. Kauk has been a certified member of the National
Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) since June of 1986. In
June of 2001, Kauk was a presentor at the NATA's National Clinical Symposia
in Los Angeles, CA. The topic of the presentation was "Strategies
for Improving Your Situation at the Secondary School Level".
He and his wife, Kathi, have three children...Cameron, Lindsay, and Emily.

Lisa
Marchese-Houser received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical
Education form the University of California,
Davis in 1992. Lisa was NATA Certifiied in 1993 and has been
working as a High School Athletic Trainer since 1991. She has a Professional
Clear/CLAD Teaching Credential in Physical Education and Biology
from National University and has been teaching since 1996.
Lisa began her athletic training career at Davis Senior High School in
Davis, California. There, she created the first Athletic Training
Program and Athletic Training Position for Davis Joint Unified School District
which is still in operation today. Before joining the RHS staff at
the beginning of the 2001-02 school year, Lisa served as Head Athletic
Trainer, PE and Athletic Training teacher at Clovis West HS in Fresno,
CA . During her 4 years in Clovis Unified she designed, implemented and
taught an Athletic Training ROP course that was open to all 3 High School's
students. At Reedley HS, she teaches Science 1 and Human Anatomy &
Physiology classes, as well as, working as a full time ATC. She has
also been a clinical site educator for U.C.Davis and is currrently working
with Fresno State University. She has been a particiapant in the
Volleyall Festival Sports Medicine Program since 1990 as a Site Athletic
Trainer and currently a Supervising Athletic Trainer.
She and her husband Greg have two children....Jack & Bear..yes, the furry kind.
